On the eve of the auspicious Bengali New Year, a deep felt gratitude to all my seniors who with their untiring efforts lighted the path towards a pain-free world, wishes to all my colleagues and fellow travelers on the path, and a call to my juniors to take up the oath to reduce sufferings and pain of their patients and the society at large, and create awareness in their fellow workers an acute awareness about pain and its short as well as long term consequences.
The IASP has focused this year on Pain after Surgery, and we , you and me, have decided to work towards that. In the process, already three CME’s have been conducted at RGKMCH, Stadel by Narayana Hospitals, and a World Health Day Program at EIPM, Sealdah. Our plan is to continue our endeavor to have more CME’s on the theme and invite you all to host CME’s at your institutes, and the Society will go all out to help you in doing the same.
Once again, Subho Naba Borsho, and stay healthy and pain-free, and extend a helping hand to others for achieving the same.
